1. Reflections from the Archives: Resilience & Rest 🕯️📖 To our incredible teachers and cherished alumni, We recently revisited a letter written in October 1947 by Brother Adolphe here in Singapore. While the world has changed, his words remind us that the heart of a teacher has always been one of profound sacrifice—and that the need for rest is not a modern "trend," but a deeply human necessity. In 1947, our school was facing a "thunderbolt" of challenges. Brother Adolphe described: A tiny team of just 5 Brothers managing over 650 students. The "extreme embarrassment" of not having enough hands to help. The physical and mental fatigue of teaching in the tropics after years of hardship. He wrote about the "cries of distress" and the search for hope when everything felt like it was "collapsing."
